How To Find Your Google Analytics Code
If you’re new to blogging, finding your Google Analytics tracking code can be one of the most frustrating parts. This blog post will show you where to find it and how to install it with just a few clicks! Once installed, setting up goals in Google Analytics is also simple so that you can see which posts are driving traffic for your site.
- To find your tracking code, open up a new browser tab and go to google analytics
- On the left hand side of the screen, click on “Admin” in order to access your account
- Three sections will pop up, Account, Property and View. Under property click on Tracking Info then tracking code.
- Copy this code and paste it into whichever place you need it (such as blog post editor)
- If you are using WordPress, there should be an option under Settings that says “Google Analytics.” Click on that to enter your website’s information
- Enter all necessary information including website URL, email address (if applicable), web property ID number (usually found at www.google-analytics/learn/privacy_help#id ), and any other relevant information about the site being tracked
HOW TO APPLY GOOGLE ANALYTICS TRACKING CODE TO WORDPRESS
The easiest way to apply your tracking code is to install the plugin Google Site Kit. Go to settings >> Analytics>>edit, then use your tracking code. Simple!
