Switching From Business To Creators Account Error on Instagram
Have you tried to switch from your business account on Instagram to a creators account, only to get an error message? This blog post will help you figure out why that happened and what you can do about it.
So if you’re struggling with this too, here are some tips that might help!
HOW TO GET RID OF ‘PLEASE ENTER A VALID PHONE NUMBER’ ON INSTAGRAM
If you’re a social media enthusiast and have been using Instagram for quite some time now, we know how frustrating it can be when you get the notification that says “please enter a valid phone number“.
The issue is that this message pops up because your account may not be verified. If your account is unverified, then you will get this message every single time to log in or sign up with an email address and password.
You might think to yourself “why don’t I just start over?”, but if you want to save all of the photos in your feed, then there’s no way around it! So in today’s blog post, we’ll show you how to remove the ‘please enter a valid phone number’ on Instagram so you can change over to a Creator’s account so that this is what you do:
- Go to your Instagram Profile
- Edit Profile
- Contact Options
- Enter phone number in the business phone number section
- Save
- Go back to Settings
- Account
- Now switch to Creator account
Hopefully, this should have sorted out your problem. If it has please share this post and pop in a comment at the bottom of this post.
What’s the difference between Instagram Creators and Business Account?
Creators accounts cannot go live with a post and do not have access to the business insights/insights tab that businesses currently have. Creators can switch between multiple Instagram accounts without having to log out or disconnect from an account first (this is due to Facebook’s multi-account feature).
If you are looking to make money off your posts, a business account is the way to go. Business accounts have the ability to turn on post notifications for people who don’t follow them (meaning that if someone new follows you/someone they’re already following – then they will receive an email notification about it).
What do I need in order to make money?
In order for businesses on Instagram to be able to turn on post notifications and start making money from their posts, they must have a Facebook Page set up (preferably with the same name as the username ) for the business, they must have a monetization method set up (either through an ad network or through Instagram), and their account should be in good standing.
Once again, you can only go live with your posts if you are following them already – otherwise it will not show up on your feed. If people unfollow you while your post is going live, it will not disappear from your feed – you just won’t see their posts while the post is up.
Who can use a business account?
Business accounts are for businesses only and must be associated with a Facebook Page that has been set up for the purpose of selling or promoting products/services (no pages devoted to charity work). If someone isn’t actually trying to sell anything on Instagram, then they should stick with an individual account. You cannot change between these two types of accounts without requiring people who do follow you to unfollow first in order for them not to receive notifications about when your new posts go live.
